WHY IS IT NOT A GOOD THING TO EXPOSE MAGICIANS AND THEIR TRICKS?
The question is ... Who does it hurt
anyway?
DID YOU KNOW THAT MANY MEN AND WOMEN ENTERTAIN FOR A LIVING AND THE ENTERTAINMENT VENUES IS REALLY THEIR ONLY WAY OF PROVIDING FINANCIALLY FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES?
So, Who Does It Hurt?
It hurts everyone ....
The entertainment industry, the entertainers and their families, producers, people like you and I who have jobs that help produce the entertainment venues, advertising agencies, theaters, musicians, concert halls, publishers, and the list goes on and on! OH, I almost forgot --
it hurts YOU and YOUR family. Why would anyone want to take away the
fun and fantasy that comes from a night of magical entertainment?
Remember Fox TV - And The Masked Magician? They did not see any wrong in exposing the tricks of the trade of magicians and in doing so, hurting so many men and women who were depending on their profession for a source of living.
Remember:
How they hurt so many people in our industry....Read This! While watching FOX NEWS tonight an interesting story was broadcast about the movie industry in Hollywood. It seems you can download hundreds of movies on the internet and it is legal. Fox claims that over 400,000 downloads per day were taking place and that it was hurting the industry.
Peter Churnin of Fox Entertainment (the same Peter Churmin who turned his back when contacted about the Masked Magician and the exposure of our industry secrets) said that this type of action on the internet hurts real people -seamstresses, gaffers, technicians, etc. People who have to pay their mortgage, send their kids to school, buy their groceries, and pay their bills. What happened to hurting magicians with the exposure of their industry secrets They are also real people) ... builders, inventors, creators, performers, etc. People who also have to pay their mortgage, send kids to school, buy groceries, and pay their bills.
It is very interesting that Peter Churmin has used the real people in his industry to justify his own agenda ... but when it comes to making a fast buck he sold out the real people in another industry for ratings.
They should download 4,000,000 movies a day - it would not be enough to make up for the damage he did to our industry... Maybe this arrogant executive will have a little more respect for other forms of entertainment and not just those that effect his bottom line...
$$$$...
My
first thoughts are find a movie you like and download it today, but
then I would be just as guilty as Peter Churmin in hurting an industry
and it would lower me to his same level and I chose not be on that
level but a higher level of professionalism.
My closing words are:
"Do
the right thing at all times and everyone will be better off for it."
